EHS Emergency Preparedness

Tropical Weather/Hurricane Preparations

Date Updated: 09/13/2021
Mitigating risks posed by hazardous materials is critical to protect our University’s infrastructure from impacts caused by tropical weather events. The University requires for laboratories to make preparations for hazardous materials in advance of storms and to communicate any remaining hazardous materials to OEHS. Hazardous materials that require disposal must occur well in advance of weather events, to the best extent practicable. The checklist included below should be filled out and submitted to OEHS, if applicable. The checklist should be included as part of your Departmental Hurricane Management Plan.
